The orf6_short_desc.txt and orf6_long_desc_plus_GO.txt files contain
basic information about C. albicans SC5314 genes in CGD.
These files are updated on a weekly basis.
The contents of each file are as follows:
File orf6_short_desc.txt:
Column 1 : orf6 identifier
Column 2 : orf19 identifier
Column 3 : Gene name, if there is one
Column 4 : Description from CGD Locus page, truncated at the first
semi-colon
File orf6_long_desc_plus_GO.txt:
Column 1 : orf6 identifier
Column 2 : orf19 identifier
Column 3 : Gene name, if there is one
Column 4 : Description from CGD Locus page
Column 5 : Biological process GO annotations, joined by '||'
Column 6 : Cellular component GO annotations, joined by '||'
Column 6 : Molecular function GO annotations, joined by '||'
The files are gzip compressed tab-delimited text files. There are
several freely available software options for decompressing gzipped
files using Windows. The software and other useful information is

CGD_GO_genespring_format.tab
File containing curated Gene Ontology information from the multispecies CGD gene_association
file (see http://www.candidagenome.org/download/go/gene_association_README.txt)
in a format for use with GeneSpring software
(http://www.chem.agilent.com/scripts/pds.asp?lpage=27881).
This file is updated on a weekly basis.
The first column contains the systematic name, and
the second column contains a pipe-delimited list of GOIDs.
